Become A Volunteer Coach

Follow the instructions on your way to making a difference here at the Richardson Family YMCA 



To get started, click on VOLUNTEER and scroll down to the sport and season you will be coaching


Thank you for volunteering to coach. There are FOUR requirements that must be completed to be a volunteer coach for this season:



  1. Volunteer Assignment for Current sport (Step #2) – MOST MISSED by everyone 
  2. Criminal Background Check, CBC (ss# submitted and/or not expired) 
  3. Child Abuse Prevention, CAP (submitted and/or not expired)
  4. Wedge Interview (submitted and/or not expired)


RETURNING COACHES: Login using your user and password; Click on “Apply Now” or “Sign up” continue until you get a “Hooray you are assigned!” 


NEW COACHES/ NEW ACCOUNT: Click “Register Now”; complete the application until you get a “Hooray you are assigned!”

1.Volunteer Assignment Agreement for your Sport

        Scroll down and click your seasonal sport volunteer position.

2. Criminal Background Check, CBC

You'll then be directed to the Criminal Background Check (CBC), enter required information and then click "Continue"

  • NEW Coaches: Enter your 9 digit ss# (If it only asked for your last 4 digits, you did not assign yourself to volunteer position, Step 1 above.)
  • RETURNING Coaches: Enter your 9 digit ss# IF it asks you or IF it is expired.


3. Child Abuse Prevention, CAP

After Registration, you'll then need to complete Child Abuse Prevention


 Online training (submitted and/or not expired) If expires, before the season end date

Check expiration date, if expiring during the season notify mmacgregor@ymcadallas.org

If expired, click on “Continue” or “Re-apply” under “My Profile” in the left side menu and scroll down.


4. Wedge Video Interview

Next, you'll need to complete the Wedge Interview, an online video interview  (please submit the video interview).

If it's expired, click on "Continue" or "Re-apply" under "My Profile" on the left side menu and scroll down

You'll then find the link in your email where you'll be able to click the link and complete the online video interview.

VERIFICATION FOR COMPLIANT VOLUNTEERS

Once all requirements are completed, return back to Volunteer Matters to confirm.
